“ I was very pleasantly surprised by this dining experience! I came for a birthday party, and it was such a fun environment with the animals moving around us! We ordered Asian food and the awesome platter for an appetizer and it was very good! Large enough portions too, and reasonably priced! The waiter never refilled our water, but that is my only complaint. ”
“ Kind of funny leaving a review cause I don't usually do this but we had the BEST time here Gabby was our server and she is actually just the greatest and so sweet- totally went out of her way to make the experience amazing. I couldn't praise her up enough!! The ambiance is always perfect as well. They don't have anymore of these in California really and I missed it so much. So happy it's here x ”
“ Came around 3pm on a Friday. We were a party of 4 (2 adults & 2 toddlers). The atmosphere was awesome for the kids. Upon looking at the menu we decided to just order appetizers and drinks (along with the kids meals) because the price of the meals was so high... we got 2 entrees to split for the same price we could've gotten 1 meal (meals are around $25-$30 each... appetizers were around $10-$15 each). The drinks were $14, cost included a souvenir glass (which we didn't know until after we paid and were told to claim our glasses at the souvenir shop). They offer a 10% military discount. The employees were very quick to assist. The atmosphere was nice for the kids. The drinks were very weak. The food we got was delicious. ”
“ This is such a fun restaurant! All of the staff were very friendly. Our waitress answered Oliver questions and worked with our special requests. Our food came out fairly quickly because it was not a busy time of day. I fettuccine Alfredo was delicious! My daughter got the sampler appetizer and liked almost all of it. The only thing she didn't love was the little mini chimneys. But that was because she doesn't love onions. Her husband finished those off. And my son-in-law got fish tacos. He gobbled those right up. The atmosphere is fabulous with the fun thunderstorms every 15 minutes. It was fun to look at all of the cute animals While we ate. And then walking around the fun gift shop afterwards was very entertaining. I wanted to take the stuffed sloth home with me. But I digress. ”
“ We were in the area, looking for a place to have lunch and my husband had never been to Rainforest so that's where we landed. Situated right on the outskirts of the mall, it was easy to find and truthfully, how can you miss it?! We were told the wait would be about 15 minutes for a table so we perused the ginormous gift shop and then planted ourselves at the bar for a cocktail. I had a Summer Rum Punch which thankfully wasn't too overpoweringly sweet. My husband had a Mongoose Mai Tai. Both were OK. For lunch we started with an appetizer of chili con queso with tortilla chips which was actually pretty decent. For our actual meal, I ordered the Jamaican Me Crazy pork chop meal and my guy had the NY strip with shrimp and substituted loaded red skin mashed potatoes for the veggies. My pork chop was fantastic - a little spicy, a little sweet and very flavorful. It was served with Caribbean rice, coleslaw, fried sweet plantain and a nice chutney. Everything was great. My guy ordered his steak medium and it came out very rare. There were some spots around the edge that were medium rare so he was able to eat a little of it. Because our food took an incredible amount of time to come out (our server apologized multiple times), he didn't want to send it back but instead ate everything else and knew that once the meat was reheated at home, it would be edible for him. Note: he typically orders his steak medium well and hates rare or medium rare beef - it grosses him out. LOL Our server was kind and offered to make recommendations which I appreciated. However she was overly attentive to the point of being a bit annoying. Perhaps it was because our food was taking so long, I don't know. Prices at the Rainforest Cafe are on the high side. Our lunch was $111.00 which included one standard cocktail and an iced tea. We paid for our fun cocktails from the bar AT the bar so tack on another $25. In my opinion, one really comes to Rainforest Cafe for the ambiance, decor and "show" not for a great culinary experience. But it definitely is a fun place for lunch. ”
“ This location is pure nostalgia for me as I would ask to visit every year for my birthday for 4-5 years. Though I knew vegetarian options would be limited, I still decided to dine for the ambiance and nostalgia. I was pleasantly surprised by both the service and the quality of the pasta dish. I half expected a side salad and fries to be my only options to eat here. There is a gift shop and even souvenir pennies you can purchase to commemorate your visit! Definitely a place you visit for the experience, rather than fine dining. ”
